Introduction

Welcome to the Earles Genealogy page where the goal is to gather information on the descendants of Gamaliel Earles, born about 1710, and try to discover his parents and ancestry.   This research has been based on the ancestry of Lawson Franklin Earles who was born 25 November 1862 in White County, Tennessee and died 13 July 1931 in Billings, Noble, Oklahoma.

  1. Great start!

I have spent the last 8 years trying to gather information on the ancestors of my Earles line. My Earles family is in Alabama now. They also apparently start with Gamliel Earles.
A few years ago, I had my brother take a DNA test to hopefully find a scientific connection to other Earles' families.
Two matches were deemed closely related. One group ended in Tennessee and the other ended in the Mississippi/Louisiana area.
Please contact me if you would like to share information.
    Carol

  2. I set up this blog, but don't know how to blog - or at least answer comments. I just thought I posted a comment, but don't see it, so I'll try again. Gayle Earls has hired me to do his genealogy and part of that time has been spent on this line. We did a DNA test last year, but our problem is that the father of Lawson Earls is still unsettled. We do know Lawson's mother is Caroline Earls, daughter of Pleasant (great granddaughter of Gamaliel) so we are trying to find a male descendant of Pleasant which will give a better DNA result to match with others.
Yes, i would love to communicate with you about this. I gathered a lot of information which i tried to capsulize in the chronology on this blog. I also posted his information on ancestry.com - Earlesfamily.

I work in Salt Lake for a genealogy company so have close access to the Salt Lake Family History Library, if there are things you can think of that I can do there that haven't already been done. I have looked at most of the records for Butte/Warren Counties. I have also compiled a F.A.N. list of friends, associates and neighbors and other lists of various kinds. I would be glad to send it all and visit with you about another course of action.
